FUJIAN province posted a seven per cent increase in road and water transport volume to 441 million tonnes in the first eight months of the year, reports Xinhua.
The road freight volume grew 6.1 per cent to 319 million tonnes while the passenger volume came to 491 million persons, almost the same level of last year's first eight months.
The water transport volume increased 10 per cent to 122 million tonnes in the first eight months, while passenger volume by water grew 10.2 per cent to 10.24 million persons.
