Cargolux starts second 787F freighter run from Hong Kong to Vienna
LUXEMBOURG-based freight carrier Cargolux has launched a second 747-F service from Hong Kong to Vienna to support demand for China imports in high-tech products and textiles and in return exports from Vienna of health care products, heavy machinery and spares.
The addition of a second weekly flight follows on from the launch of this service in August to the traditional east-west cargo transfer point of Vienna originating in Hanoi and Hong Kong, cited a report from Atlanta area Air Cargo World.
The weekly flights will depart on Thursdays and Saturdays to Vienna airport which handled 22,948 tonnes of freight last year, up 13.8 per cent year on year.
